2. How to purchase. The viewer must purchase the title “Sherman Oaks Film Festival – Virtual Screenings” on The Indie Channel website as the smartTV platforms do not allow for the separate purchase. A subscription to The Indie Channel is NOT required to watch our screenings.
3. How to watch. After making the purchase, the viewer can watch immediately on the web OR they can then go to their smartTV, install The Indie Channel app, and watch on there. The Indie Channel is available on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, and mobile phones.
We know that this extra step to watch on a TV is not perfect, but a very enthusiastic staff member tested it and confirmed that even though the smartTV platforms do not allow this extra purchase directly, the SOFF 2024 Virtual Screenings do show up as a Purchase with the smartTV apps.
